Rohan This is for You bro,Though I am already dual booting Windows 8 with Windows 7 on my computer, Windows 7 to me right now is like some exotic dish of a restaurant that you have once in a while. Windows 8 NOW on the other hand is like homemade food that you can’t live without and need for good health.
Now the problem is, when you install Windows 8 over Windows 7 as a dual booting operating system, Windows 8 boot loader is given the first preference, meaning it’ll boot into Windows 8 by default unless you choose to use Windows 7 each time manually. Restaurant’s exotic dish by default each time? I don’t think so.
So let’s see how we can make Windows 8 boot loader as the default boot loader to save some time.
Step 1: Right-click on Computer and click on Properties to open your Windows 7 System page.
Step 2: Click on Advance System Settings on the left sidebar to open the System Properties window.
Step 4: A new window will open in front of you where you can control the Startup and Recovery of your computer. Now, under the System Startup section select Windows 7 as the default operating system from the dropdown menu for your computer and click on OK to change your default boot loader.
You can also change the default waiting time from 30 seconds to like 10 seconds or so if you would like your Windows 8 to boot by default in lesser time.
That’s all, next time you switch on your computer, Windows 8 will be your default boot loader.
You can change the settings using Windows 7 as I was little reluctant to try such things on the public beta release but no one’s stopping you. If you wish, you can try it out on Windows 7 , I assure u it works
