follow the steps and it will work fine and is tested by me also enjoy !! ;D
you need to have your pc as well as your mobile phone with you..
ON YOUR PC
1) http://www.mgmaps.com/cache/
Here download gMapMaker v0.7.3.6
2) Then go here
http://www.mapcacher.com/
drag to the area that You want to get a map of.
Draw a line around the area that You want , by placing markers around in sequence. A single click places a marker, a click on a marker removes it. It is also possible to drag markers around after they have been placed.
Zoom level: from 0 to about 15
Level of detail: Medium
Type of map: Google Road Maps
Click Generate and save .Map file (preferably on desktop).
3)Install and Start gMapMaker
Cache Folder: then specify where to save the cache.(preferably on desktop)
Max downloads: 3
Operating mode: Last option (download tiles using map file)
Click Go and select the .Map file. The process has started.
wait around 2 mins(depending on the size of map)
after the process is done copy the resulting cache on your memory card.
ON YOUR MOBILE PHONE
4) go to "wap.mgmaps.com" on your mobile built-in browser(dolphin)
click on signed jad in the category LG, and install it.
close the browser and go to games and open "Mobile GMaps"
5) Options Java applet MGMaps:
Menu(the 3 lines)> Settings> Map Browsing: Activate the option "Stored Maps" and "Off-line Mode"
In the "Storage Path" enter "Mmc / MGMapsCache" (path to the folder with the cache on a flash drive)
In "Memory Cache (Kb)" type "65536".
In Menu> Settings> Display, to select option Coordinate Format (DD.ddddd). restart MGMaps
In Menu> Map Types> Not Available(Google) select Google Maps.
In Menu> Maps Type> Yahoo Maps to remove all the checkboxes.
6) voila!! :yahoo: After this the map should work offline. :drinks:
